      This week was the first week of my 10 weeks! I enjoyed it a lot. I definitely know that teaching is what I am meant to do. I am not the best teacher, there will always be room for improvement, but I am proud of myself for making it this far. This week was a 4/5. I don't want to give it a 5 because I know that there will be better weeks to come. I had a great week with my students.      This week, I was able to successfully get through my first full week of taking over. It was not as scary as I thought it would be. It is great to have a supportive CE. I was able to get to know my students a little more this week through activities in the lessons and causal discussions at lunch and recess. I have some great kids in my class. One activity that the students completed was a poem about themselves.       Another week has come and gone so quickly. It feels like it's going by fast but it also feels like I have been here for years now. I would rate this week a 4 out of 5. It has been a lot different than the previous weeks because the kids have come back on a hybrid schedule. This week was a little exhausting, but I love having the kids here. This week, I was able to take over Literacy and Math instruction. I feel like these lessons went well. My students were engaged throughout and they were retaining the information that I was presenting. At one point in the week, a student looked at me and said "you're fun". I'm not striving to be fun, because that isn't as important as making sure the students know the content. But if students look forward to me teaching; I think I can make a difference.       Week two is complete and I'm ready to take a nap. This week was a virtual week for my 4th-grade class. They are coming back to school on a hybrid schedule Monday. It hasn't felt right trying to zoom them; I'm ready for them to come back. I would rate this week a 3 out of 5. My brain has felt very scattered lately with everything that I have to get done. Hopefully, when the kids come back, I will be on a more set schedule and my brain will relax a little bit.      My accomplishments for this week are minimal but at least there are some. This week I was able to teach a few science lessons to my students on zoom. Because of the lack of internet for the majority of my students, I would only have about 7 students show up. It was still nice to see them and see them participating. I was also able to get my lesson plans for next week completed, which I felt pretty good about.      I can't believe it is already here! It feels like I just got started in the education department and now I am almost at the finish line. Deciding to change my major to elementary education was one of the best decisions I have made. I have so many emotions right now as I begin student teaching. I am mostly excited because I am getting to do one of the things that I love most. However; I am also very nervous. This first week was a nice start. I would rate it a 4 out of 5. I observed for the majority of the week as my clinical educator taught our students over zoom each day. I think my rating would have been a 5 if the students were in class. It is sad to not be able to see them in person but I am hopeful that they will be returning to school soon. The bright side of our students being virtual is that I was able to spend more time with my clinical educator. She was able to show me more resources, introduce me to staff, and answer any questions that I had for her. I app...
